The interesting story of what would happen if food started raining down from the sky.
I give this book 3.5 stars (out of five). I really like this book, it’s a childhood classic at least for me and now has two movies based on it you can watch too. The entire idea of food raining down from the sky is random and ridiculous which is why it makes such a good kids’ book, it sparks imagination and helps kids come up with equally wonderful ideas of their own.
The illustrations are funny, well done and fit in right with the story. It’s also good that before they start the main story they establish that it’s a story and not really happening so kids don’t end up thinking Chewandswallow is a real place. Overall I think this is a really good kids’ book and really recommend it. There’s also fun family friendly movies, which is an animated option that tells the same story.
