Archer is in love with Vivan and he does everything he can for her. But she doesn’t love him back. How can Archer change when the person he’s dedicated most of his life to decides she doesn’t need him? Then Archer meets Evan and everything changes.

Warning this includes violence and murder.

I give this book four stars (out of five). This book was well written and really interesting. In this book in between chapters time can skip ahead or just keep going right where you finished and you need to pay attention when starting every chapter. The main character (Archer) is extremely well written. In the beginning all his emotions, actions and dreams were centered around Vivan. But they were shattered when he realized what she was really doing to him, he loved her but she was just using his love for her own gain. Archer had gone as far as to do everything he thought would be best for her, even if that means dangerous taking matters into his own hands and hurting or killing the people that hurt her. But after he met Evan his entire life changed and he became a better person.

[Spoiler warning skip to the last paragraph to avoid them]

In the end Vivan confronts Archer and they both nearly kill each other. Even though in the end of the book Archer is recovering and still hasn’t quite gotten over everything that happened to him and everything he ever did, I still think the ending is perfect.

Archer ends up getting the help that he needs while staying with Evan, Vivan dies and Archer doesn’t need to own up to all the things he did for her. Despite Archer being the one who committed most of the crimes, Vivan is also very wrong for how she used and manipulated him which is kind of ironic because of how much he loved her.

Another part I really loved about Hushed is the part near the end after Archer gets shot and is still unconscious in the hospital, when he talks to Marissa and he finally realizes that he wants to live because of Evan. It’s a very meaningful moment and it shows his character development throughout the story.

I really enjoyed this book, however I think I would have liked it more if it was a bit longer, not necessarily just filler/writing that isn’t needed. But instead of skipping a head in between each chapter sometimes just writing through the day even if nothing really important to the plot happens. Anyway I loved reading this book and I recommend it to anyone who wants to read a really interesting scary thriller.
